Dr Felipe Freitas

Felipe is a Research Scientist at Kanna Health. 

 

Felipe has extensive preclinical and pharmacology research experience, having led and managed numerous projects using preclinical disease models to discover new pharmacological targets in neurovascular and cardiometabolic diseases.

Prior to joining Kanna Health, Felipe served as Senior Researcher for 5 years at University College London where he identified a novel therapeutic target for treating post-ischaemic renal no-reflow.

Felipe holds a PhD and a MSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Pharmacology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, Ministry of Health, Brazil, with a 1-year period at King's College London with the Science without Borders PhD Fellowship.
